- Barbara Bauer -

Not only is she a sewist, quilter, and self-professed craft festival lover, but Barbara also enjoys a wide variety of hobbies: embroidery, music, bicycling, handstitching by Lake Chapman, photography, and traveling for quick trips. As if this weren’t enough, she also volunteers weekly in the Charity Bee with the Cotton Patch Quilt Guild and serves on several committees. Amazing! How does she do it all? Maybe it has to do with the fact that she keeps her mission simple: make handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces and sell them at affordable prices. Why these two things? Because those are things that she looks for when she’s shopping for gifts and collectibles. It sounds like a plan that we can all get behind!
Come meet Barbara at her booth and find a plethora of delightful gifts! Journal covers, zipper pouches, eyeglass cases, keychains, Christmas ornaments, fabric gift bags, YoYo bookmarks, and mini quilted refrigerator magnets… Don’t you want to take them all home with you?

The Craft Lady

Elizabeth — AKA The Craft Lady — has always loved to make people smile, and creating and selling her crocheted critters brings that joy to both her and her customers. She’s been crocheting most of her life after learning from her Nana when she was a little girl; now, in retirement, she’s fully focused on her crochet passion. In addition to crocheted critters, she also offers crocheted washcloths, hot pads, bowls, potholders, and flowers.

Two Frisky Goats Farm

Ten years ago, Gina found herself with fresh goat milk that was intended for soap. Hmm, what can she do with this? She’d made regular soap for friends and family, but never with goat’s milk. What the heck, she thought, so she tried making goat’s milk soap… man, she was hooked! Gina has rosacea, while some of her family members have eczema, and goat’s milk soap has done wonders for their skin! She credits the natural ingredients found in her products for this result, which make all the difference. She travels to various places in the region to sell her products, which frequently sell out. (They did when she participated in our Makers’ Market!).

Josie Jewels

She’s a 9-to-5 baddie with a love for jewelry making, Josie of Josie Jewels! Josie started her jewelry-making journey when metal sensitivities led her to create pieces in stainless steel for herself. After receiving compliments and custom requests from friends and family, she realized that there was a demand for her designs, and thus, Josie Jewels was born! Every piece from Josie Jewels is crafted with stainless steel, semi-precious stones, and a whole lot of love.

MAE

Mary is all about creating one-of-a-kind fiber art using thrifted, upcycled, and unconventional materials! Living an art-filled, handmade, and zero-waste life brings her pure joy and inspiration, and at the Makers’ Market, you’ll be able to see (and shop!) everything that she’s been up to since she retired as an art teacher a couple of years ago. Her table will be full of home goods, accessories, and artful storage options, all made from rescued denim and vintage notions!
- Tonya Allen -
Miala Designs

A tremendous garment-maker, cosplayer, sewing instructor, and creative business owner, Tonya found herself surprised ten years ago when her daughters asked for an Elf on the Shelf doll for the holidays. With an “I can make that” spirit and a brimming scrap bin for assistance, Tonya stitched up the first ever Kindness Elf. Adorable and full of charm, the Kindness Elf was a hit! She introduced the project to friends and family, who were quick to ask for a Kindness Elf of their own. Since then, Kindness Elves have become holiday staples, making appearances in holiday markets and on Etsy; they’re still highly in demand thanks to their darling looks that promise to bring in holiday cheer. Each one is unique, outfitted with vintage lace and fabric pieces and possessing different skin tones, hair, genders, outfits, and even eye colors. Own a Kindness Elf and you’ll have a forever treasure!

Crooked Comb Pottery

When AnneMarie was in college, she took a ceramics class and discovered how much she loved working with clay. She moved on to graduate school and then started a new life in Georgia, but as a proud mom of five kids, she knew that she had to set aside ceramics and focus on her family. In 2019, in a different stage of life, AnneMarie found her way back to ceramics and hasn’t looked back since. Her business, Crooked Comb Pottery, lets her share her pottery with others. Much of her pottery features quilting themes, allowing sewists to enjoy a hot cup of their drink of choice during their next sewing session!
- Dana Pritchett -
Greypuff Creations

Cross-stitching was Dana’s first love, with five or six large projects going at a time. What she didn’t love? How messy the craft could get, so she ventured out to get organizers to keep her supplies together. When she couldn’t find something that suited her needs, she realized that she could make her own, and that’s what set her off on a fresh new path: sewing personal items! At her booth, you’ll be able to browse and collect from her line of functional items: bags, zipper pouches, organizers, and quilted decorations. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Ask her about getting something custom-made just for you — that’s one of her favorite requests to receive!
- Dora Donaldson -

Never known for being a quitter, Dora was determined to finish a queen-sized quilt that was entirely sewn by hand. You see, it was a gift for her mother-in-law, and although it took her a year to finish it, Dora sewed it with love in every stitch. After this first project, she was hooked! Quilting and sewing quickly became her happy places, where she finds peace, joy, and even comfort during tough times. She pours her heart into every piece that she makes, striving to create with excellence. Creating is a true labor of love, and Dora is excited to share her quilted pouches and baskets at the Makers’ Market!

Remember When Quilts & Bears

Fara of Remember When Quilts started her business as a way to honor special moments through quilts, whether it be high school sports victories, graduations, garage band memories, or the loss of a loved one. As her business evolved over time, so did her product offerings, and she began making commemorative bears from cherished clothing that bring comfort and peace to their recipients. She looks forward to meeting you at our Makers’ Market — through her ready-made and custom-order products, she hopes that you’ll find a unique piece that tells a rich history and will bring you fond memories.

Art Out Here

JoAnn of Art Out Here makes functional, stylish bags outfitted with canvas, luxurious webbing, leather accents, and rivets. It’s these small, yet important, details that will turn heads and have people asking you where your bag is from everywhere you go. Can’t get enough of her items? Keep walking along her table — you’re sure to discover one (or several!) more accessories that ooze with rustic charm and will have you saying, “Oh, I’ve got to have that!”
- Karen Boone -

Karen loves creating practical and thoughtful items like pie carriers and hot pads for casseroles. She’s an avid quilter, making many projects to give to friends and family. When she’s not sewing, you’ll likely find her fishing in tournaments with her husband!

Fourth Gen Stitches

Creating has always been an important part of Michelle’s life. One of her grandmothers taught Michelle how to sew, while the other showed her how to crochet when she was twelve; these early lessons instilled her love of handmade crafts, a passion that she now shares with others through her business, Fourth Gen Stitches. Through Fourth Gen Stitches, Michelle offers crochet bags, book and Kindle sleeves, and ornaments. You'll also ooh-and-ah over her sweatshirts, tote bags, pouches, and Bible covers, all of which are made from vintage quilts. Expect to spend a lot of time at her table at our Makers' Market!
All of her items are made with love and intention, and sharing them with others is the most rewarding part of her work.
When she’s not making something new, Michelle enjoys reading, tending to her flower garden, and traveling. For her business, she is looking forward to expanding her product line, launching a website, and beginning to teach crochet and sewing classes.
