Athens, Georgia is the creative hub of North Georgia. From a historic music scene, to delicious cuisine at a number of beloved restaurants, Athens has it all… including a local sewing studio and quilt shop! Sew Sew Studio is located just outside Athens by way of Atlanta Highway or the Loop.
If coming via Atlanta Highway, turn onto Monroe Highway, drive about a mile west, and you’ll find a special place where creativity is shared and supported: Sew Sew Studio. From quilting to embroidery, and even garment sewing, our staff is here to help visitors plan projects, pair fabrics, and create something beautiful.
We carry a large selection of high-quality fabrics, sewing notions, sewing patterns and books for you to peruse and admire on your visit… Not to mention our stock of the preferred, simple to use Janome sewing machines!
Our studio is just a 20-minute drive from downtown Athens and University of Georgia. We welcome students, locals, children and adults to our studio to pick up a rewarding hobby with guidance and support every step of the way! Studio hours allow you to hang out, chat and relax with friends while you work on your project.

A sewing machine needs to be serviced regularly to stay in good shape. Your first service (approx. 1 year after purchase) is free of charge. We’ll clean and tune your machine to make sure it lasts.

We highly recommend shopping for a machine in-store because of the option to take multiple machines for a test-run and get consulted by our expert staff. In addition, some machines are for sale in-store only.
However, once you have your machine, the rest can happen from the convenience of your home! Just make sure you come back and visit every once in a while!
