Quilting: Intermediate: Fluke Quilt THREE Part Quilt Top Class
This great pattern from Eye Candy Quilts caught the eye of quite a few at the shop! It has a LOT of curved piecing and fabric planning, so is recommended for those with quilting experience who are ready to try something new or want a lot of practice with opposing curves :). It is the same curve repeated many times, so once you get the hang of it, it will be smooth piecing!
The first class will be picking, planning, and cutting fabrics, though feel free to shop for your fabrics prior to the first class.
The second and third classes will include sewing these pieces together to form your squares. We'll work on different ways to sew curves and find the one that works best for you. You will do most of the sewing on this quilt from home. It's time-consuming, but once you have your method down it is really fun!
Materials are extra for this class, but you'll receive a 20% discount if you purchase at Sew Sew. Your savings will practically pay for this class! Your own personal pattern and three classes are included.
If you do not want to attempt to make a full quilt in this pattern, that is a-ok. We want you to enjoy the process of picking colors and learning convex/concave curve sewing :). We can show you how use these squares in other projects such as table runners or pillow covers.
