Join us for a very special class on August 24 and August 31: the Twisted Foursome quilt class! Why do we say special? Because one of our customers, Jeannie Smith, is leading the session! Jeannie is a passionate quilter, and she beams with joy every time she talks about this wonderful craft. 😊 

The “Twisted Foursome” quilt is a very unique project; with only one piece of fabric, you’ll be able to make 36 kaleidoscope blocks; each block looks different, and when you piece them together, you’ll have an intriguing, eye-catching project! 

This sounds complicated, but it’s actually quite simple. This is how it works:

• Choose one fabric that has a medium to large print
• Cut this fabric into small squares. 
• Arrange the squares in a certain order. After you stitch them together, you’ll have a Kaleidoscope block!
• Repeat this process until you have at least 36 blocks
• Add some sashing, setting stones, and a border, and you have an entire quilt!

See? That’s not bad at all! This also means that the Twisted Foursome is a quick quilt. Above all, it’s a FUN project that quilters will enjoy making!

Class Details

Finished Quilt Size: If you choose a 5 x 6 layout, the finished quilt will measure 59" x 68". If you choose a 5 x 7 layout, the finished quilt will be 59" x 77"

Materials Required: The pattern is included with the class. All materials are extra, but they can be purchased at 20% off in our store.

Fabric Requirements (For the quilt top only):

• Kaleidoscope blocks: 3.75 yards of fabric with a 12” or 24” repeat**
  • Perhaps the trickiest part of this quilt is choosing your fabric. We are happy to help you choose the correct fabric for your quilt. We also strongly recommend that you read Jeannie's guide (linked below), which will give you tips to will help you choose the best fabrics.
• Sashing: 1 yard of coordinating fabric (light blue fabric in the sample)
• Setting Stones: 1/2 yard of coordinating fabric (coral fabric in the sample)

Experience Level: This class is suitable for advanced beginner. Previous quilting experience is required.
