Are you interested in stretch fabric projects, or clothing with a professional finish? Or maybe a machine that will cut and finish all edges in one step? A Serger is a wonderful machine that is a perfect addition to your domestic machine. * (my fav) *
This class is an introduction to sergers. You will learn about thread paths, (there are four usually), different settings for different materials, when to use it, how to use or disengage the knife, and then learn on our machines how to sew a simple stretchy beanie hat with knit fabric. All materials included.
We will be using our class machines, but you are welcome to bring your own machine to learn on. We are certified for Janome and Elna and are knowledgable on all makes. If you bring your own machine, please bring all cords and manuals. We can help get you threaded and going, but will not be able to troubleshoot specific issues during the class. Please send us a note prior to class if you will be bringing your own machine
