A wonderful instructor with remarkable attention-to-detail, her priority is in making sure that her students have the right tools and instruction so that they can be successful in their sewing journey. With Charlotte as your instructor, there’s no limit as to what you’ll be able to make!
You should book a private lesson with Charlotte if you…
Want to learn how to sew, are interested in learning how to use your machine, or if you hope to become a garment maker.
These are the lessons that she offers on a regular basis:
- Sewing 101 - Do you want to start sewing? Learn in just an hour! Your instructor will teach you all of the sewing basics. When you’re comfortable with the process, you’ll be able to sew your first project — bring your fabrics or buy them at our studio for 20% off! Once you finish your project, it's typical to want more. (Sewing is highly addictive!) After you finish this first session, you can jump into one of our regular sewing classes and start making all the things!
- Machine Familiarization - Do you have a sewing machine and want to learn how to use it? This is the lesson for you! Our instructor will teach you how to operate the machine safely, and will go over threading, winding a bobbin, changing needles, using the stitches, and more. At the end of the session, you’ll practice your new sewing skills on a small project.
- Introduction To Garment-Making - A handmade wardrobe is one step closer to becoming a reality! In this lesson, you'll be introduced to the basics of garment-making. Explore how to read a pattern, learn how to find fabrics to make your clothes, discover sizing techniques, and set-up a machine for garment-making. You may not be able to finish a project during this lesson, but you’ll receive all of the information to help you get started.
Please note: When you book a lesson with Charlotte, you'll only be going over ONE of these topics.
