Summer Camps 2025: Play and Make Party
Our Make & Play camp is the perfect fit for young sewists who want to explore a fun and creative hobby! In the camp, kids will learn all of the basics of sewing so that they can start creating one-of-a-kind projects that they will absolutely love!
To kickoff the camp, we’ll dive straight into the following topics:
•Operating a sewing machine safely
•Threading the machine and winding a bobbin
•Using the correct buttons to regulate sewing speeds and lock-in stitches
•Utilizing a variety of stitches to create projects
Once kids feel comfortable with their machines and understand the basics, they’ll be able to test their newly-minted sewing skills as they stitch an array of awesome creations: Scrunchies, bookmarks, a zipper pouch, mini pillows, bracelets, and much more.
Kids will be completely ready to jump into their next sewing adventure after attending this camp!

| Skill Details: | This camp is suitable for beginners. No previous sewing experience is required. We ask that kids be at least 7 years old or older to attend this camp. If your child is younger than this age, they may struggle to keep up with the camp's projects. |
| Requirements: | **IMPORTANT INFORMATION** Please send a small sack lunch with your child every day. We’ll have a break midday so that kids can eat and get a little fresh air. No previous sewing experience is required to attend this camp. Kids will learn everything that they need to know about using a sewing machine safely during their first day.
