Tamarack Quilt Coat Class
The Hovea quilt coat was all the rage last winter season! While we still LOVE that pattern, we thought we'd mix it up and offer more quilt coat classes that feature a different pattern: the Tamarack Quilt Coat by Grainline Studios.
This jacket is well-loved and is a bit more fitted than the oversized Hovea coat. It's so cute! Everyone will be asking where you got your fabulous coat, and you will be able to proudly answer, "I made it."
Class Structure
We will be making the coat in two classes.
• First Class: We'll review the pattern, choose your sizing, cut out your lining fabric, and do a test fitting. The instructor will go over the pattern's many different variations, and she'll give you a design idea sheet so that you can select your coat's perfect design. You will need to bring your lining fabric and your pattern (if already picked up) to the first class. If you prefer to trace your patterns rather that cut them directly, please also bring your normal tracing paper.
• Second Class: We'll take a two week break so that you can finish your outside layer. This is where the design sheet that you received in the first class will come extra handy; you can choose to piece together fabrics, use an old (unquilted) quilt top, or just use a solid fabric. You will need a piece *about* the same size as the yardage for your size calls for and can use your pattern pieces to conserve fabric waste.

Your personal pattern is included in the price of the class. All other materials are 20% off if purchased at Sew Sew.

This is an intermediate class, with sewing experience required.
