Intermediate: Free Motion Quilting on a Domestic or Sit Down Machine
Do you wish you could do the beautiful feathers, seashells, pebbles, swirls and Baptist fans seen on some custom quilted projects? Well, we are excited to offer a new series of classes with guest instructor Kay D! She does beautiful free motion quilting designs and is willing to teach us how, as well! This is a two part class for intermediate sewists, or those who are comfortable with simple quilting already. You will recieve great instruction, as well as hand outs and videos you can reference after class.
We will be making an 18" pillow cover and all materials will be provided (minus a basic pillow form to put inside of it ;).) Students should bring their own machine with a free-motion or darning foot attachment, an even feed walking foot, and the ability to lower the feed dogs. An extension table is also a great accessory to use for this project. If you do not have an appropriate machine, we do have a few in the shop that will be avaiable to use. Please give us a call before enrolling to discuss these or if you have questions regarding your personal machine. *If you end up purchasing a machine from us over 700$, we will refund the price of this class.
