Quilting: Beginner/Starter: Shelter Quilt Wall Hanging or Pillow Cover: 4 part quilting class Wednesday evenings starting September 22
This is a perfect class for a beginner wanting to learn how to quilt! Sarah is leading this class on the small Shelter Quilt from Blooming Poppies. The price of class includes your own pattern and four classes. In each class you will learn a step of the quilting process and will have time to work at class, then repeat the step at home during the time between classes. If you do not have a machine at home, you can sew on the shop machines at no charge as long as we do not have another class scheduled (check our class calendar!) Since this is not a huge quilt, most steps will be able to be finished in class.
This is not a full size quilt, but is made with the same steps you would use on a larger scale. This finished piece can be used on a table, or make it into a pillow cover, mini quilt, or hang it on the wall!
We will learn fabric choice, piecing, sandwiching and backing, quilting, and finally binding!
Materials are extra for this class. You may bring your own, or purchase in shop for 20% off! Please make sure that all of your fabrics are either new and unwashed...or all pre-washed. We look forward to seeing you for this fun class!
