Longarm-A-Palooza is an exclusive quilting event for prospective longarm owners. Students will learn everything there is to know about longarm quilting and be able to see what our Janome longarm machines are all about!
In 2021, when we first got our longarm machine (the Janome QMP 20"), we hosted an event just like this one and it was a success! Our students learned so much about longarm quilting and loved everything that was covered. As longarm newbies, we also participated in the classes to see what we could absorb. Let us tell you, it was amazing! In fact, we learned most of the things that we know about longarm quilting at that event. We know that Longarm-A-Palooza will be just as fun and enriching — If you're serious about your quilting, this is an event that you do not want to miss!

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND LONGARM-A-PALOOZA?
Many of you know that we host regular longarm familiarization classes in our studio. For occasional longarm users, these are excellent lessons. However, if you're interested in purchasing a longarm machine, Longarm-A-Palooza is a better fit for you. The material that will be covered at this event will be much more thorough and extensive than anything we ever teach in our monthly familiarization classes.
A big part of why Longarm-A-Palooza is so special is because students are going to be trained by Miriam Coffey, a master sewist, longarm specialist, and Janome educator. Her knowledge of longarm quilting is unparalleled, and with her expert training and instruction, you’ll be able to refine your quilting skills and transform into a better and more confident quilter.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
At this event, Miriam will go over how a longarm machine works, show you how to make designs and motifs with free-motion quilting and pantographs, and teach you how to use ProStitcher so that you can easily set edge-to-edge quilting designs.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Due to limited space, this event is only suitable for those who are interested in purchasing a longarm machine. However, attending this event does NOT mean that you have a buy a longarm machine right away. Buying a machine is a BIG commitment, and we completely understand that you may need some time to think about getting one for yourself. We don’t host events like this regularly (the next one may be more than a year away!); if you think that you’ll want to purchase a longarm machine in the near future, even if it's two years from now, you should still attend Longarm-A-Palooza. As a quilter, the skills that you’ll gain at this event will be invaluable, and they're sure to serve you well as you progress through your quilting journey.

There will be two classes at Longarm-A-Palooza.
You can attend only one or come to both — you’ll enjoy each of them!

(Total for two classes - $248)
If you purchase a longarm machine from us during the event, not only will you be invited to a one-on-one Owner’s Training Lesson on August 19, but we’ll also refund you 100% of the price that you paid for the event.
CLASSES & DATES
Introduction To Longarm Quilting Class
Miriam will review the quilt loading process, tell you how a longarm machine works, demonstrate how you can make quilted designs with pantographs and free-motion quilting, and present the various feet that can be used on a longarm machine.

ProStitcher In-Depth Class
In this class, Miriam will show you how to use the ProStitcher computerized quilting software. You’ll learn how to create and offset edge-to-edge designs, crop stitches in an appliqué block, use the “Mark” feature to do stitch-in-the-ditch and straight-line quilting, and more.

New Owner’s Training
New longarm owners, you’ll be prepared for any quilting obstacle after you attend this owner’s training! You’ll get information on how to load and advance your quilts, receive tips about the best thread choices, learn to adjust top thread and bobbin tension, and discover some of the less frequently used features in ProStitcher.
